My Day

Long time no post! I don't know what my problem is. For one my camera went MIA. I knew where it was at and when I went to go get it GONE! I need to keep looking. Anyways, last Friday was my big day. Yes birthday! On Thursday my wonderful neighbor friends gave me a birthday lunch! I just love our neighborhood. Everyone is so nice and friendly. I could of never imagined it to be this way a year ago when we moved here!

sitting on the couch: Melaine with baby Brandon, Sara, me, Amy and Luke
Front: Alesha, Tami, and Janarae.
The kids had a great time playing thanks to Alesha having the best toys (inside and out)! And us women had a great time gabbin'! Thanks so much girls! I am so grateful for good friends!
On Friday my wonderful neighbor Amy watched the boys for a couple hours so I could go do whatever I wanted. On my way home she called and said she was at Roundtable Pizza! Yes, she took all the kids there! What a saint! She deserves the Best Neighbor Ever award! She is always there for me when ever I need anything!! That night we went out with some friends to Outback. It was my friend Heather's birthday a few weeks ago and had been planing on going out for our birthdays and it happened to fall on mine! We all had a good time and need to do more with that group of friends since we don't see them as much since we moved! On Sunday Troy and Cindy invited us over for a BBQ! It was a lot of fun and Cooper kept telling us "I want Troy's hous". It had been a while since he last saw his cousins, so it was fun for him to see them again! I had a great birthday and can't believe I am the big 2-5! I remember in H.S. saying I was not going to get married until I was 25! Oh, how life does not go as planned!! Who would of thought 25 and two kids?! And I almost forgot to give a shout out to my favorite birthday buddy Jake! Jake turned 9 this year and I heard had a great birthday! He received a birthday card in the mail with real money not even a check!! Glad you were born on the best day of the year buddy!

A FLOOD, YES A FLOOD ON KASE BLVD

After 5 this evening I look out my window in shock/horror to find this! Yes all this brown water running down our street covering it flowing really, really fast!! My first thought was oh man Amy's septic is overflowing!!! I ran outside and I realized yep the cannal has broke!! You ask how does the cannal break twice in a year? Those lovely pesky gophers are to blame! I hate those things they totally destroyed our yard this spring when we were trying to get our grass to grow. And now they dug in and broke the cannal. The water was just roaring down our street and it made me realize how fast flooding can take place!
Matt and Amy and their family outside watching in disgust! These poor guys were flooded last year!!

These guys take all the back up at the intersection of Kase and Cottonwood springs. They just had there asphalt replaced last week from last years flood! The water was really bad here and they probably get the brunt of it!

neighbor boys having fun swiming in it! All the kids were out ridding their bikes going crazy!

My son going nuts!! This was after the water had went down a lot

You can see the water just rolling down the alfalfa field hill. The cannal is up on the hill along edge of circle. There is alfalfa and bark all over our street.

The big clumps are the alfalfa.

Kids playing

Brenden and Cooper doing damage control!! Tonight is one night I am grateful for my steep driveway! I feel so bad for everyone across the street! Last year they thought it was a fluke thing and now again this year! KID must fix this mess! Oh and the good part is no irrigation water for up to a week. It is suppost to be 105 this weekend! Our yards are going to cook!!!

Swimming Lessons

Cooper has been in swim lessons this week and boy has that been an adventure! Mom (being myself) endeed up doing swim lessons with him half the time!! Hooray for me! Luckily he had a great teacher, Danielle, that was able to put up with him and all his screaming and splashing!! Today Cason was out in the car, so Cooper had to do them all by himself and he did really well. I would peak at him behind the bushes (if he was to see me he would freak out and think it was time to go, this happened earlier in the week) and he was doing his back float and just kicking away! There is always light at the end of the tunnel. Next year my goal is to be able to sit and watch him with Cason there and nobody freaking out on me!!! Oh and in this picture he is not looking because he was trying to get out of that pool so fast! We had already put him back in twice to try and get a picture with Danielle and this is the best we have! What a boy for ya!

Good News

Good news, Monday Hayley went with me to Seattle to take Cason to see a Pediatric Optomologist. I think the spelling is wrong. His right eye is still crossing with his glasses on so Dr. Wilson reffered us to see if he may need surgery done. The doctor said not yet and is increasing his prescription, so hopefully that works and his eye will not cross when he is wearing his glasses and we can fix Mr. Goofey eye! We have to go back to Seattle again in a month for a check up! Fun, fun, fun! Times like this I sure miss mom, she would for sure go with me and I could count on her to drive! I hate driving, I get so tired!

Mowin

Whenever I see Cooper do this it just makes me smile! The joys of a boy! When Brenden mows the lawn he will jump on his four wheeler and follow right behind him! I just love it! He does the same when Brenden has used his four wheeler for projects around the yard he just follows right behind! And yes dad Cooper is quite the pro at riding his four wheeler! No we don't have to worry about him running into anything! I know my dad will ask my mom that. Last summer when we lived with them Cooper was on their Gator all day and he was lets just say, Crazy! He would run into everything and was found a few times in the ditch headed up the other side to go out onto the main road! Dad would call mom all upset yelling, "Somebody better get out there with that kid, he is going to get hit!" Needless to say the only damage he has done on the gator this year was right before mom and dad left and he headed out into the sugar beet field! Dad was a little razzled, but dad the beets look great and you can't even tell a few are missing!!

Road Rage!

Cason on the mower! Cason loves to ride with you on the mower and he can last the whole time!

Fun with friends

On Wednesday the boys and I met some friends at the park. Heather and Kaili left before I pulled out my camera so no pics of their cuties! Cooper and Haylie had so much fun playing together in the wading pool. It was so nice Cassi and I didn't even have to worry about them.

Just sittin there talkin'

Connor just turned around and went right in!

Running away from the boy with the blow up toy. He wouldn't leave them alone and kept hitting them! Lot's of fun had, we will have to do again before summers over!!

Silverwood

On Saturday to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary and to have one last hurrah before our dad (brenden) trades us in for the telephone, we headed up to Silverwood! We were so excited that Grandma & Grandpa Kent went with us, they helped out with the boys tons!

On the train that went around the park. The ride was a lot longer than we expected, but was a lot of fun. We are glad we went on it.

On the train ride we stopped by the oldest mine. While there we ran into these robbers! Very entertaining and fun. There was a lot of Dynamite blasts that startled the boys!

On the "horsees"

Grandma & Grandpa trying to get into the train roller coaster! The worker said it was made for kids not adults! They finally were able to get the bar down, we had a good laugh!

Casey on roller coaster. So much fun for the little guys!

Cooper loved it too! "weeeee", was all he yelled!

Confined in their spots. I don't know what I would do with out this stroller. I love to lock them in and harness them down! I know sounds mean but it is the best thing in the world.

After lunch we headed over to Boulder Beach Water Park. The boys had so much fun just being able to run around, and we found the perfect covered place to make camp. Grandma even got to relax and take a little cat nap.

Coop running wild and getting all his jiggers out!

waiting in line patiently to go down the raft ride!

Here we go! Am I ready for this! Ready or not! Cooper was a good sport and sat in his chair being a big boy! He really has grown up from last year!

Brenden and Grandpa anticipating the ride and getting wet! Did I say wet, we got soaked!!

Cooper showing Grandma his wet shirt! Poor Grandpa got his leather shoes all wet too! After that ride we called it quits! We waited in line about 40 min to get soaked!! It was time to change our clothes! All in all we had a great time besides the sleepless night in the hotel and wa to many nasty diapers!! But what would a trip with kids be like if everything went perfect? BORING!
