Best thing I have ever done!!

Today I did the best thing ever! We were headed to Fred Meyer to get a couple of things. I decided I could take them into Fred Meyer because they have a car cart. As soon as we stepped inside the store Cooper already started acting up and climbed out of his seat belt. I thought oh great here we go again why do I always take them to a store and then swear I will never bring them back! And then the thought came to me. They have a play land! Go take that kid over there and stick him in it! And I did! The greatest thing was he went in and didn't cry! He thought it was cool! Oh, it was heaven shopping without him! I love the kid but nobody would want to take him shopping. He is in and out and in and out of the cart and has to have everything he wants or he screams bloody murder and kicks and screams on the floor. You usually have to drag him out of the store screaming!! When I went back to pick him up I asked the lady,"This might be a stupid question, but how often can I bring him here?" I know I am dumb, but now I can actually do grocery shopping in the middle of the day and not at 9:00 at night! Let's just hope he keeps wanting to go!!

Sleep over

Me being the nice aunt that I am let Kate stay for a sleep over on Sunday! They played outside most of the night and then I made her take a bath. Do you think the boys would let her take a bath by herself? Yeah right! She didn't want them in there but as you can see they won! She was mad because they splashed! So most of the time she hide her head in the corner. It was cute! You can see in this picture Cason looks "goofy eyed". Sometimes his eye is okay, but it crosses quite a bit. Hopefully we can get it take care off. Poor little boy! I really think he trips and stumbles quite a bit because he can't see.





The cutest thing happened. Allie was trying to lay down with them in the "special bed" to get them to settle down and go to sleep. Well you know Coop he has to jump on you and wrestle you and won't settle down. So after a bunch of attempts I told Kate if she went to sleep I would buy her a barbie. I know bribery is so bad, but I was desperate. I let Coop stay up and figured he would get tired in a bit and I would put him to bed then, but he was way to hyper. About a half hour latter I wondered where he had went to. We went to look for him and this is where we found him. He had went upstairs to the "special bed" to go to sleep next to Kate. It was the cutest thing ever! Cooper has never went upstairs to go to bed all by himself!! I thought it was so cute! Now the next morning when Kate woke up as she was coming down the stairs she announced to me," Jenni, I slept really good last night so I get a barbie now". The first thing she said and she was half asleep! No getting off the hook for me! They had a fun time together especially with Allie the best babysitter in the whole world! There is a little competition between Cooper and Kate. They both want Allie all the time! Allie went home today and we are already in withdrawls. Man I wish she lived here! Cooper asked me today, "Where Allie at?" Sorry, bud Allie's not going to be back for a while!

American Idols Live!

What a great picture huh? I swear Hayley could sleep any hour of the day! In this picture it is probably sometime in the 11:00 hour. Anytime we get in the car she has to go to sleep! And the great thing for her is she sleeps on her good ear (she is deaf in her right ear) so she sleeps just like a baby! I like the pouty face. I know she will kill me for this picture, but Allie and I thought it was funny! Anyways last Friday Allie, Hayley, and I headed for Portland to the American Idols Live Concert! My friend Lacey met us there. The concert was a blast and we had a great time being together and not listening to any crying kids!!!


When we got there we had a few hours to shop before the concert. We decided to go downtown. We had not been down there before. Here is Allie and Hayley at Papa Hayden's restaurant. Lacey recommended and it was great with fabulous deserts!

Two aunts and a niece. Yes I am sporting my David Archuleta shirt!! Hayley and Allie came back with it. He was AWESOME! Oh man he was amazing!!! Brooke White was really good too. For the most part everyone sounded spectacular! Michael Johns was over the top good! Everyone cheered really loud for him! It still makes me mad he was voted off so early! Remielle even sounded good! As for Jason Castro he was still annoying and we were ready for his performance to be over! It was a night to remember. For Allie and Hayley that was their first concert. Would I go again? If next year's top 10 are as good as this years yeah I would want to go! This year was an awesome Idol season!

Mud Fun

Allie has been making mud the past few nights! Cooper has been having a blast! He has gotten into mud way too many times this summer! Countless times at Grandma's. Anytime the pivot comes around he is out there in the Gator playing in the mud! We are finally putting the pea gravel around the swing set, so he won't have the whole space to make mud, but we are leaving an area for a sand box so he can make mud there!


Now you ask she must be cazy? Why would a mother allow her kids to play in the mud? Doesn't she already have enough laundry? Or does the women just thrive on seeing how many baches of laundry she can do in a day and have them folded in her kids drawers by the next morning? No not at all! I am never caught up on laundry and I only get close when my mom comes over (she is the laundry queen) which will not be for a very long time and only happened a few times, but I loved it anyways! I remember how much fun it was when I was a kid, and I would feel terrible if I never let my kids. It's part of being a kid! Playing in the mud all summer long!

My Nightmare Morning!

Yesterday morning started off with a real bang! I awoke and thought I heard Brenden in the shower. I thought to my self I better check and make sure he has a pair of clean under garments. (He said he was low the day before and I never washed any) I went and checked and sure enough he did. (no going dirty yesterday!- he never has dont worry that guy is the biggest clean body freak that I have to ration his showers!) Anyways after I checked I looked over and realized Brenden was still in Bed, not in the shower! Weird I thought, oh well and I headed to the kitchen to get a drink of water. The time was 5:20. Yep not time for Brenden to get up, I headed back to bed and as I rounded the corner and was walking down the hall to my bedroom I saw a MOUSE! Yep you are right a MOUSE! I screamed the mouse turned around and ran back into my bedroom and under my cedar chest i think! I did not have my contacts in and I am blinder than a bat so that is what I think! I ran and jumped on the back of the couch and screamed, " There's a mouse a mouse!" Brenden get's up and says,"Come on we got to try and get it." I told him,"I am not getting off this couch until I have some closed toe shoes on." He brought me a pair and then I went to my closet and traded them for my ugg boots! I put my contacts on so I could see and sure enough the sound I was hearing was the mouse eating through a receipt! We opened up the hall closet bi fold doors that is right before our bedroom to see if there was any action there since brenden had a trap in there set already from memorial day when we found some activity in our laundry room closet. Sure enough peanut butter gone and trap had engaged. No mouse! He checked his other 3 or 4 traps he had set in the laundry room and laundry room closet. Peaunt Butter gone and droppings were there! We were getting freaked by the second! we had our swifer, wood floor mop, broom ready to go if we saw a runner! As we were standing there trying to get enough courage up to move some furniture in our bedroom he was by the closet I on top or our bed the mouse runs from the closet to under the dryer. He screams I scream. He says You keep your eye on the dryer and see if he runs again we have to know where he is I am going to the bathroom! Bathroom at a time like this I dont think so But he insisted! Sure enough less than a min and he runs to the laundry room closet! Then we checked the hall closet and sure enough lots of evidence! He then sets some traps in the laundry closet and goes to take a shower to go to work! He leaves and I go to the kitchen to pick up some stuff and realize I think I may have some evidence in the pantry! I didn't know for sure because I wasn't home the night before and Cason loves to play in the pantry and Brenden lets him so it could of just been him. The big clue was there was broom pieces all over like it was taking them to make a nest! Gross I know! I didn't think it was Cason now I am convinced it was not cason I found evidence last night! Anyways I know you are tired of my story but I have to write it down or I will forget. I freak out and run over to Amy's to get her opinion. She is the best neighbor around! She helps me out all the time! So at 7:00 I am knocking on her door and she comes to the rescue! She didnt know about the stuff in the kitchen, but I had her check our traps because I am too scared! She checked and sure enough he was already caught!! I cleaned and cleaned all day yesterday! Once a mouse has been in your house you feel so dirty! You are picking up everything! Well we think everything fine and dandy, I go to hang up Brenden's shirts in his closet last night and notice stuff in his slipper! I freak it was a ton! He was taking a shower and he said no way. I said i am 99.9% sure! Yep it was and then he has a laundry basked on the floor with his jeans in there. Yep sure enough there too. Well if he was in brenden's closet then he for sure was in mine too. My closet not as clean as Brenden's and I tend to throw clothes on floor after I try them on so luckily Allie came to the rescue and helped me clean my closet out and yes he was in there too, not as bad as Brenden's but bad enough! so then brenden says you have to clean out the closet under the stairs . We did and he had been in there too! What a night now! Brenden set 14 traps! And we have those darn plug ins everywhere in the house! He put a huge one with these big speakers in our bedroom right by his side of the bed! Needless to say I did not sleep down stairs last night and we didn't get to bed until after midnight! I sure hope he didn't get up stairs that is my safe place right now! No activity this morning! We are hoping it was just one!!! On Memorial day when we found droppings it was right after the first hay cutting. Now there are doing the second hay cutting. I told brenden I think there are more mice around when the cut the hay and they just go running down the street! He thinks we live too far away from the field. I dont know. There are just a lot of mice around. I want an exterminator but we will see. We are going to put those hinges on the door that make the door shut. With two little boys we always have to be right behind them to make sure they shut the door. And if Coop goes out with out me knowing it the little nasty criters can jump on in! Oh how i HATE MICE with a PASSION!!!

Seven Peaks!

On Friday after the wedding we headed down to Seven Peaks for some fun! We all had a blast! Cooper went down the tube run and Cave In and could not get enough! We would get off and he would head right back up there to go down again! He was lucky enough to get to go back the next day with Brenden & Jordan. While we were at Seven Peaks Brenden called and said his plane kept getting delayed and so he was going to get off in SLC.

Now you ask why would I take a picture of this oversize dog house? For memories sake. We were sitting there about ready to leave. I noticed Cooper had walked over to this house and was looking around. I learned to never underestimate what this kid can do. The next thing I know people were running like mad trying to pick up all their belongs and get the heck out of the way. The darn kid had managed to open that box and he turned on the sprinklers!!! I saw the sprinklers come on and my first thought was that can' t be right. Why would they have the sprinklers come on during the day when the park is open? I looked over saw him and screamed in horror to everyone, "he just turned on the sprinklers!" Hayley, Tricia, and Pam could not stop laughing and all I could say was, "Someone go get him, someone go get him!!" I know this is bad but I was way to embarrassed to admit I was his mom! Hayley went and claimed him! Thank you!! Then the life guard had to call to have someone come turn them off. It took at least 5 min. By then the grass was so wet people could not go back and sit down! Needless to say I guess they will learn their lesson to not leave the box open! And by the way why would they put it at 3 year olds eye level?

The Reception

The reception was BEAUTIFUL! Perfect weather, Perfect location. Could not ask for more!

Well we made it back to Utah for wedding #2 Shantae and Shawn. Hayley, Tricia, the kids, and I all made it down for the wonderful occasion!
